Primera Liga: Weekly Player Report

Cronaldo flopsReal Madrid:

Kaka: reports are that the Brazilian, despite continued pain in his abductor muscle, is trying to recover match fitness for the upcoming clasico match on April 10th and participated in training on Wednesday for the first time in weeks.
Eden Hazard: the Belgian winger has stated that if he leaves Lille it will be only to Arsenal or to Real Madrid on the urging of Zinedine Zidane. Hazard: It is very flattering to have someone like him say nice things about me.
Lassana Diarra: Italian papers are reporting (according to that Lass is in the headlights for Inter Milan with Brazilian fullback Maicon coming to Madrid with 10 million euros exchanging hands to facilitate the transfers.
Squad: Ramos and Xabi Alonso out due to yellow cards in the derby last week. Guti and Garay are out injured. Metzelder, whose last game came against Alcorcon, might be forced to play alongside Albiol. Gago is also out with a injury to his nose. Add Kaka and Drenthe and the squad is very thin. They may be forced to call up help from Castilla.

  • Lionel Messi: After not training the previous day with a slight migraine, the Argentine forward was cleared by the medical staff to play against Bilbao at home.
  • Franck Ribery: stated again that he would only leave Bayern Munich for Barcelona or Real Madrid. The more likely rumor is the more inexpensive option, Benfica winger Angel di Maria.
  • Squad: Jonathan Dos Santos continues to train with the first team, as Dani Alves is out with that fortunate yellow card last week and Andres Iniesta is out injured with a hamstring injury.

  • Jesus Navas: originally expected to be out for a month with a right ankle sprain, the Sevilla winger could be back for the 10th of April match against Malaga.
  • Kevin Prince Boateng: Sevilla have bid 5 million pounds for the midfielder as the Portsmouth clear-out continues.

FC Cartagena:

  • Pascal Cygan: The french central defender will miss tomorrows match at Las Palmas with a right knee injury he received in training.

Jose mourinho is a brilliant coach, but i dont think lass will improve his squad. Lass is a good player in all, but he is a bit dirty.picks up too many yellow cards.

  2. Mando says:

Lass is exactly the sort of player that Mourinho wants, dirty, with little skill on the ball, a Makelele type figure that stops the opposition from playing and helps hit the opponent on the counter. Too bad Inter wont be buying him. Maybe hell be waiting as Mou comes riding into town on his white horse to save Madrid from its best season ever. Mourinhos a fraud. Save Pellegrinis job guys, hes the only shot you madridistas have at beautiful football.

  3. Santiago says:

True. also is milito on barca brothers with milito on inter????

  4. Mando says:

Sure. Diego is the older brother of Gaby. Both played together at Real Zaragoza for a few years until Gaby left for Barça and Diego left for Genoa.
